My recent area of research investigates the systemic silencing and erasure of Black scholars(hip). I am examining citational practices and exploring their role in perpetuating racist dynamics within academia. This connects to questions of plagiarism, addressing broader themes of academic integrity and equitable recognition for scholars from diverse backgrounds. I received funding to explore this issue via an Antipode Right to the Discipline Award, and you can find out more about that project in the dedicated section on the website.
